Aerial Operation On Today
Aerial Operation On Today – Wednesday 22 October 2003
The aerial operation against gypsy moth will get under way on target at 5.50am this morning (Wednesday 22 October).
Today’s operation will start at the hospital end of the treatment zone and travel north. Weather permitting the operation should take half the morning to complete.
Today (Wednesday) being a school day means the aircraft will be out of the air, as usual, between 8.00-9.00am, and then again if necessary between 12.15-1.00pm and 3.00-4.00pm – the times most children travel to and from school and eat their lunch.
The public can call the 24 hour free phone 0800 96 96 96 for updates and general information about the programme. People can also listen to Newstalk ZB (1296 AM or 97 FM), Classic Hits (98.6 FM) or ZM 89.8 (89.8 FM) for updates.
