The Painted
Apple Moth, Tomorrow - Tuesday, 30
March
There will be NO general aerial operation against painted apple moth tomorrow – Tuesday, 30 March.
This scheduled aerial operation, to treat the one remaining small risk area in Ranui/Swanson, has been postponed due to forecast windy conditions.
More settled weather conditions are expected later this week and the operation will go ahead on Wednesday, 31 March or the next day that weather permits.
To check on the status of aerial operations the public can listen to More FM (91.8FM) or Newstalk ZB (89.4FM or 1080AM). People can also call the free information line 0800 96 96 96 or visit the residents’ page online at www.maf.govt.nz/paintedapplemoth for up-to-date details.
One of the best ways to find out about aerial operations is to register for email or text message status updates. The public can register for these by calling 0800 96 96 96 or by visiting the residents’ page at the above website.
A map of the scaled down treatment area and up-to-date information about the painted apple moth eradication programme is also available on the residents’ page on the website.
