An Autumn Aqua Pool Party Just The Ticket
Young Howick and Pakuranga residents can
celebrate the end of term while the beautiful weather
continues, with An Aqua Pool Party at the Lloyd Elsmore Park
Leisure Centre on evening of Thursday 8th April.
Darryl Hamilton, Senior Recreation Aquatics Programmer and organiser, is excited about the upcoming event. "This is one of our first pool parties held 4 times a year to celebrate the end of school term", he says.
"The cost of $5 is very reasonable as it includes an Aqua Run, a sausage and a soft drink and the latest music from Howick's local DJ, Andy Wilson. There is also dancing and Village Cinema Tickets for prizes throughout the night.
"Our previous Tweenies, ( the 'tween' age is 10 -13 years) Aqua Discos have been a great success, with over 100 intermediate kids turning up to enjoy the Aqua Run and making new friends from other local intermediate schools. Through this event, and others like it, Manukau City Council is providing well supervised, positive recreational activities for our young to keep them gainfully occupied during their leisure time.
"The Aqua party is open to all local intermediate schools, and it will be good to see our regulars and new faces are always welcome. See you there!"
