How Effective Is Your Community Board?
Manukau City Council is to review the effectiveness of its Community Boards in representing their communities, following on from the recent Local Government Commission's Determination on Representation Arrangements.
Co-ordinator of the review Charles Rhodes says "The review will be based on the role of Community Boards as defined in the Local Government Act 2002 and will lead to recommendations for improvements to organisational processes and best practices.
"The recommendations arising out of the review will be made to the incoming Council and Community Boards following the October 2004 elections", says Mr Rhodes.
Council is interested in receiving your suggestions on how Community Board processes can be enhanced.
Feedback is requested by 16 August 2004 and should be forwarded to Charles Rhodes, Ward Co-ordinator, Manukau City Council, Private Bag 76 917, Manukau City or e-mail crhodes@manukau.govt.nz. Alternatively you can phone Mr Rhodes on 262 8900 extension 8189.
