A Free Day Of Entertainment At The Alan Brewster Centre
It's not often you can have a day full of fun at no cost but the Papatoetoe Community Board has managed it. Their Youth and Family Day set for Saturday 18th September, will feature a free BBQ, drinks, games, competitions, displays, demonstrations and performances
The day will be opened by Manukau Mayor Sir Barry Curtis and will feature Flick The Fire Engine, face painting, karaoke, a baking competition and opportunities to join community groups, sports groups and the Papatoetoe Library.
Papatoetoe Community Advisor, Bernadette Pereira says, "This is a great initiative. It's an invitation for everyone to be part of this community. We're celebrating the many cultures here in Manukau. As well we are promoting the many opportunities there are for residents to get involved in local community groups in their spare time either as participants or volunteers.
"We are also taking the opportunity to promote the Papatoetoe Library to get more adults and children to use it on a regular basis. Come along and join in the fun, meet new people and see what is on offer in your local community".
The Papatoetoe Youth and Family Day is sponsored by the Papatoetoe Community Board and will be held at the Allan Brewster Recreation Centre 18 September, from 10am till 5pm.
