Fundraiser gig for Timothy O’Brien’s Mayoral Campaign Prominent Wellington bands Fat Freddy’s Drop and Scribes of Ra will be performing at Campaign Launch/Fundraiser event for Wellington mayoral candidate Tim O’Brien.
The concert will be held at Sandwiches on Sunday 12 September at 6pm, with more acts to be confirmed.
Tickets are $20 and on sale later this week.
All proceeds will help Tim’s race for the
mayoralty, any
remaining funds will be donated to local
charities.
Campaign Manager Yadana Saw “Tim’s campaign is about people not money. We simply do not have the resources for an expensive public presence, but we have talented people willing to give their time for free, all whom believe in a better Wellington,” Ms Saw continues “This gig is a prime example of people coming together for something they believe in. This is the truly creative capital.”
