Communities invited to Push Play on Guy Fawkes weekend

Communities will have the opportunity to Push Play in Waitakere on Guy Fawkes weekend, as part of the SPARC national campaign.

Organised by Sport Waitakere in conjunction with the Waitakere City Council, over 120 classes from schools in Waitakere City are participating in the Push Play Activity Chart Challenge that commenced Monday 11 October and ends Friday 5 November. 200 students aged 10-13 will also take place in a schools activity challenge at the Waitemata Rugby Grounds, Swanson Road, on Friday 5 November.

Various activity providers and sports clubs will be opening their doors to the community on Saturday 6 November.

A Community Sports Expo at The Trusts’ Stadium will finish the weekend on Sunday 7 November. Sports on show include athletics, martial arts, dance, golfing, boxing and cheerleading, with something for every member of the family. Open 9am-4pm, bring everyone along and remember-dress to Push Play!
