Parking Fines On The Rise
From 27 February 2005, those caught outstaying their welcome in time allocated car parks will have to pay more.
Manukau City Council has decided to increase fines for parking longer than the allocated time by between $3 and $11.
Manukau City Council’s Transportation Manager Chris Freke says the increase will bring Manukau’s fine levels into line with what is being applied elsewhere in the country.
The new
fine levels are as
follows:
Infringement Old New

than 30 minutes $10 $12
More than 30 minutes but not more
than one hour $12 $15
More than one hour but not more
than two hours $17 $21
More than two hours but not more
than four hours $24 $30
More than four hours but not more
than six hours $34 $42
More than six hours $46 $57
