Newtown Festival 2005 - Pegasus Moon

The Organising Committee of the Newtown Festival is honoured that New Zealand School of Dance and Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School joining as a partner in the 2005 Newtown Festival with a performance of "Pegasus Moon' Co-produced by Wendy Wallace, Tom McCrory, Jude Gibson and Paula Steeds-Huston.

The Organising Committee of the Newtown Festival is honoured that New Zealand School of Dance and Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School joining as a partner in the 2005 Newtown Festival with a performance of "Pegasus Moon' directed by Wendy Wallace, Tom McCrory, Jude Gibson and Paula Steeds-Huston.

Since 2001 Toi Whakaari and the School of Dance have brought together the students of the Schools for a collaborative performance where the dancers act and the actors dance. They are supported in their work by second year entertainment technology students who will design the lighting and sound for the show.

The grace and power of horses will be harnessed in one exhilarating piece of physical theatre while a second spine-tingling work will evoke the beauty and magnetism of the moon.

The show will be performed at Te Whaea Theatre, 11 Hutchison Road, Newtown and bookings can be made by phoning 04 3899056.
