Auckland City Youth Council Awards
Auckland City Youth Council is celebrating its 21st anniversary in March by holding an awards ceremony to acknowledge the volunteer work done by youth in Auckland City.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Town Hall on 18 March, and will honour 11 deserving young people who have made a voluntary contribution to the community.
The Mayor of Auckland, Dick Hubbard, will be presenting the awards.
Dame Catherine Tizard will also be at the ceremony as a special guest. Dame Tizard founded the Auckland City Youth Council in 1984 when she was mayor.
