Community Board to ensure wider consultation for changes in Tamaki
The Eastern Transport Initiative and changes to transport linkages in Morrin Road were discussed at last nights Tamaki Community Board Meeting.
“The Community Board are aware that there are big changes happening in the Tamaki area and we must ensure the widest possible consultation on these issues.” Deputy Chairperson Kate Sutton said.
Sutton continued “It is vital that a holistic approach is used when making decisions about the future of transport in Panmure and Glen Innes and the Community Board are ready to lobby council on behalf of the community to provide better mechanisms for feedback on the changes.”
The board will be receiving briefings from Council officers and contractors about the proposed Transport changes in the area and the how they intend to get community suggestions over the next month.
