Liquor comments close on Friday
The draft District Plan Change to the Sales of Liquor is available for public comment until 19 August 2005.
Following approval from the Planning and Regulatory Committee, a proposed Plan Change will be notified, and public submissions sought.
The draft changes:
* Introduce a new Policy 10.28 to indicate what resource management outcomes the Council is seeking from the application of the Sale of Liquor provisions in the District Plan
* Amend the City Wide Rule 1.7 Sale of Liquor to better reflect the Council's Liquor Licensing Policy
* Introduce a definition of "amplified noise"
* Amend the City Wide Rule 1.4 to update the reference to the relevant New Zealand Noise Standard
* Amend the Introduction to the Rules Section of the District Plan to provide guidance on notification of Discretionary Activities that are seeking consent under the City Wide Rule 1.7 Sale of Liquor.
