North Harbour Stadium GM resigns

North Shore Domain & North Harbour Stadium Trust chairman, Reno Wijnstok, today announced that North Harbour Stadium general manager, Wayne Scurrah, has resigned to take up his new position as chief executive of the Warriors rugby league club.

"Wayne joined the North Harbour Stadium team four and a half years ago," Mr Wijnstok says.

"During this period Wayne has worked to establish excellent new relationships with New Zealand Soccer, the New Zealand Knights Football Club, North Harbour Tigers, New Zealand Rugby League, concert promoters and various other users of the stadium.

"This, in turn, with the long-standing ties the Trust has with North Harbour Rugby, and their partners, makes the North Harbour Stadium's event schedule one of the most varied and exciting available.

"Wayne has developed our commercial revenues to high levels through the establishment of the Harbour Function Centre and other initiatives," Mr Wijnstok says.

"There are also many other exciting developments either in progress or under consideration, and we have no doubt that the North Harbour Stadium will one day be the premium sporting and event venue in the country."

Wayne Scurrah leaves the stadium with some regret but proud of the team's achievements to date.

"North Harbour Stadium has many excellent partnerships and is well served by the Trust and North Shore City Council.

"It's a wonderful venue and an invaluable community facility for the people of North Shore City," he says.

Mr Scurrah leaves North Harbour Stadium on October 28 to take up his new role.

The process to appoint a new general manager for North Harbour Stadium will start immediately.
