Innovation, inspiration and information await at Australasia’s largest home expo - returning to the Auckland Showgrounds, 14-18 September.

The Auckland Home Show will have over 600 exhibitors and 1000’s of home products to capture the imagination, as well as $120,000 worth of prizes to be won including a $60,000 backyard makeover; a $25,000 dream lounge room and a $20,000 home automation package.

For the first time, the Pump Water Pamperzone in conjunction with Pampered on Location are treating show patrons with free massages, mini-manicures or mini foot soaks for those who want to take a break from the show’s many attractions.

Also new to the show is the Fisher and Paykel World Cooking Theatre, featuring some of Auckland’s leading chefs including Euro’s Shane Yardley and Novatel’s Philip Neverman. The custom-built cooking theatre will offer free masterclasses, demonstrations and tastings including the Taste of Tuscany, Moroccan Seafood, Euro cuisine and Magnificent Curries.

BenQ Home Design Seminars are bursting with new ideas and inspiration for your home. Presentations include Feng Shui tips to unclutter and invigorate your home, kitchen and kids bedroom design and how to create your dream garden.

One of Australia’s biggest celebrities, Deborah Hutton, a former model, media personality and host of top rating shows Location Location and Location Location’s Celebrity Homes, will be at the show launching her self titled home ware range Living with Deborah Hutton.

For those whose passion is fashion, the Vision Designer Living Pavilion will showcase the latest in fashion and every facet of design, while the Freedom Furniture/Levene exhibition lets visitors view the latest in room settings.

An annual must-see, the Street of Houses sponsored by Central Landscape Supplies and Natural Tree Products, is an impressive showcase of houses built over six weeks onsite presented with fully landscaped environments and is topped off with its own street café.

The specially landscaped Foreno Tapware Café enables visitors to sit down and have lunch or dinner outdoors, while in the Village Green only metres away, live jazz and Latin musicians will provide entertainment throughout the day till 10pm.

For parents who want to get the most out of the show, the Poppets Nanny Bureau Creche is available onsite at $5 an hour, and is open to all children 2-7 years old from 10am-3pm daily and 10am-5pm on Saturday.

The Auckland Home Show is on from Wednesday 14 September to Sunday 18 September at the Auckland Showgrounds, Greenlane.

Times: Wednesday 14 September – Saturday 17 September 10am-10pm, Sunday 18 September 10am – 6pm. Tickets – Adults $16, Senior Citizens $12 (Wed-Fri only), children under 14 free (if accompanied by an adult).
