Windfall for Tamaki Community Groups
Windfall for Tamaki Community Groups
The Tamaki Community Board granted nearly $30,000 in funds to community groups at the Community Board meeting last night. The funds came from the boards annual Community Board Local Fund, Board Discretionary funding and Events Funding.
Tamaki Community Board Chair Kate Sutton says “We are thrilled to support our community groups with this funding. We have granted money to kindergartens, cultural groups, St Johns, Sports Clubs, all sorts of people from many organisations, across Glen Innes, Panmure and Otahuhu.”
Sutton continued “There are so many groups out there in need of funds we really need more money in this pot, but its great to do what we can.”
The Community Board Local Fund has a funding round once a year. The Community Board Events and Discretionary budget can be applied to at anytime.
