Temporary arrangements
for Deputy Mayor duties
Auckland City Council today passed an urgent decision to temporarily reallocate the statutory and administrative roles of the Deputy Mayor Dr Bruce Hucker.
Chairperson of the Finance and Corporate Business Committee, Councillor Vern Walsh, and the chairperson of the Economic Development and Sustainable Business Committee, Councillor Richard Northey, will share these responsibilities while the Deputy Mayor is on leave.
This is particularly needed next week while the Mayor, Dick Hubbard, is out of Auckland on council business.
The arrangements will be reviewed on 18 October.
