MEDIA RELEASE
11 November 2005
Warm Pacific
greetings from the New Zealand Pacific Business
Council
The New Zealand Pacific Business Council (NZPBC) is taking the lead role in organising and staging the 2006 Pacific Trade Expo at the new TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, in Manukau City, on Monday and Tuesday, 13 and 14 March 2006.
Premier partners and sponsors are the three city councils of Auckland, Manukau and Waitakere, as well as the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment Commission.
This event will be an international trade expo involving New Zealand and 25 Pacific Island countries across Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia.
The Expo will be a catalyst for building on the substantial trade history and stimulating additional two-way trade between New Zealand and these Pacific Island countries.
The signing of an agreement to use the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre formally cements the plans for the 2006 Pacific Trade Expo, next March.
A signing ceremony will be held on Friday, 11 November 2005, at 3pm, in the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre Boardroom. After the signing there will be some light refreshments.
