Auckland Harbour Bridge work complete
Transit New Zealand would like to advise Auckland motorists that resurfacing work on the Auckland Harbour Bridge has been completed and all lanes on the bridge are now open again.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, maintenance work was carried out on lanes 1 and 2 of the northbound clip-on and the Curran Street on-ramp.
The resurfacing included the application of a new polyurethane surface to improve safety and minimise future delays for motorists.
‘The work carried out on the Harbour Bridge was completed on schedule and at the quietest time of the year to minimise inconvenience to motorists,” said Transit Regional Manager, Richard Hancy. “Together with the reseal of the centre four lanes, which was carried out in November, the Christmas reseal has created a safer environment for motorists.”
Mr Hancy thanked motorists for their co-operation and apologised for any inconvenience caused during the work.
