Akoranga Drive reopened to motorists
Transit New Zealand and North Shore City Council announce that Fletcher's Construction Company and their sub-contractors have completed the reconstruction of the Akoranga Drive to Esmonde Road link and have reopened the road on time.
The west to east connection was closed from 4 to 31 January to allow for realignment of Akoranga Drive and the construction of a new intersection between Akoranga Drive and Esmonde Road off-ramp.
Traffic can now use the reconstructed link between Akoranga Drive and Esmonde Road which will provide access to a temporary connection to the existing off-ramp until the end of February.
At the end of February traffic using the Esmonde Road off-ramp will be redirected onto the new road alignment and a new signalised intersection commissioned between the Esmonde off-ramp and Akoranga Drive.
