Hamilton Residents support Te Hurihanga
A community support group for the Hillcrest Youth Justice facility, Te Hurihanga has been setup, spokesperson Rose Black reports.
Te Hurihanga Community Support group strongly feel that such a facility is not only welcome in Hillcrest but also that it has the potential to make a major contribution to addressing the problem of youth offending.
Hillcrest Group members were told last night they were not welcome at a public meeting set up by those opposing the facility.
The group intend to offer support to the facility. They will develop a web site as a point of contact and to promote this innovative youth justice facility.
