Young Achievers concert live at Auckland City Libraries
The Auckland Philharmonia Young Achievers concert will be the highlight of the NZ Music Month programme at Auckland City Libraries in May.
A ticketed concert will be held at the Central City Library on Friday, 12 May. Presented by Jeremy Reid, the Auckland Philharmonia Young Achievers include five brilliant young musicians who have each achieved high placings in secondary school music competitions and who are considered music stars of the future. The five Young Achievers are Alexandra Chan (bassoon), Richard Chen (violin), David Choi (violin), Shyam Sankaran (violin) and Leo Shin (cello).
The Auckland Philharmonia Young Achievers will perform a 75-minute concert of virtuostic pieces from classical repertoire. They will be accompanied by pianist Rosemary Barnes.
