Quay Street lane closure
Quay Street lane closure
Motorists are advised that one eastbound lane on Quay Street will be temporarily closed to traffic from Monday 26 until Friday 30 June during the hours of 9am to 4pm.
The closure will enable contractors to complete the Kingslow Landing stage of the Quay Street upgrade and is required in order to comply with health and safety requirements.
The lane will be closed to traffic between Princes Wharf and the Ferry building on the eastern side of the street.
The lane closure will be clearly signposted, and motorists are advised to avoid eastbound travel on Quay Street and use alternative routes.
Auckland City’s $7 million transformation of Quay Street is due for completion in mid July 2006. The upgrade is part of the council’s plan to transform the central city’s streetscape over the next ten years under Auckland’s CBD Into the future strategy.
