Mangere Ward By-Election candidates
Eight people have registered their interest as candidates for the position of Mangere Ward councillor left vacant after the resignation of James Papali’i.

All enrolled electors of the Mangere Ward area will receive voting papers in the mail from Tuesday 3 October 2006. Nearly 35,000 people in the Mangere ward are eligible to vote.
There is still time to enrol. Eligible electors have until October 23 to register on the electoral roll. Residential electors can visit a Post Shop to enrol, ratepayer electors will need to go to the Manukau City Council office.
Completed votes must be received by the Electoral Officer by 12 noon Wednesday 25 October 2006. They can be returned either in the reply paid envelope supplied or hand delivered to the ballot box at the main reception area in the Manukau City council Civic Building during normal business hours.
Polling day is Wednesday 25 October 2006.
