Downtown Community Ministry releases a new Survival Guide to Wellington
A celebration to mark the launch of the 10th edition of the Survival Guide to Wellington will be held next Wednesday upstairs in Compassion House in Lukes lane.
The release starts from 5pm and will feature an address from long time DCM Community Worker Pam Whittington who produced the very first survival guide nearly 20 years ago.
Many of the agencies included in the guide will also attend.
This edition contains an expanded directory of relevant services, agencies, outlets and information for those surviving in Wellington, Porirua and the Hutt Valley on a low income.
The Survival Guide has a focus on providing essential information and services and is treasured both by those seeking assistance and the agencies delivering it.
It includes information on health, housing, income, education, law and much more.
Downtown Community Ministry acknowledges the superb support from the Community Services team at Wellington City Council to produce this edition.
