PWB Welcomes Wellington Regional Strategy Vote
“Today’s strong vote by local government and business and community representatives in favour of the Wellington Regional Strategy is great news,” said Positively Wellington Business CEO Philip Lewin this afternoon.
Mr Lewin was commenting on the decision by the Wellington Regional Strategy Committee to recommend the strategic blueprint for the region’s economic growth for the next 30 plus years to the Wellington Regional Council for adoption and delivery.
“As the Wellington region’s current economic development agency, while working alongside high-growth businesses on a day to day basis, PWB has also been pushing hard in support of this much more coherent and unified approach by Councils in our region.
“Our Board and staff, along with the many regional businesses we facilitate, all welcome today’s ground breaking decision. More cooperation equals more success in the global economy!” said Mr Lewin.
