Tickets On Sale For Momentous Classic SpeedFest
Tickets have gone on sale for the 2007 Leitch Motorsport / Southland Times Classic SpeedFest.
The tickets are available from Auto Centre, Tweed Street, Invercargill and GWD Russells Parts Department, Yarrow Street, Invercargill. A weekend pass brought prior to the weekend of the SpeedFest (17/18 February) will cost just $20. This price will increase to $25 if purchased at the gate.
This year's Leitch Motorsport / Southland Times Classic SpeedFest will be the first event in a year in which Teretonga Park celebrates 50 years of motor racing, the first circuit in New Zealand to do so. As part of the celebrations the meeting will feature a tribute to George Begg, who constructed a series of 18 successful racing cars in the town of Drummond in the 1960's and 1970's.
Many of Begg's cars have been located and will feature in a lunchtime parade on each day of the event while a record number will also race at the meeting.
Once again Classic SpeedFest has attracted a magnificent entry of racing cars from all over the world with some announcements regarding some very special cars to follow in the near future.
