Top Sydney Event and Attractions Feature On ‘Good Morning’

TVNZ’s Good Morning programme is celebrating Sydney in Autumn with a two week promotion profiling Australia’s largest event, the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and an array of Sydney attractions.

Regional Director for Tourism New South Wales, Kate Strange, says the promotion will provide valuable exposure for Sydney during the opening two weeks of Good Morning’s 2007 season.

Good Morning screens every week day on TV ONE from 9am to midday, commencing February 12.

“Over the course of two weeks, the promotion gives viewers the chance to win a trip to Sydney for a family of four valued at over $7,500,” says Ms Strange.

“The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a key fixture on the Sydney in Autumn calendar and we look forward to sharing it with Good Morning viewers,” she said.

Tourism New South Wales is working in partnership with organisers of the Sydney Royal Easter Show – the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of New South Wales – and a number of tourism operators to give Good Morning viewers a taste of what Sydney in Autumn offers.

Tourism operators contributing to the high profile prize package include Qantas, Accor Hotels (including Mercure Parramatta and The Menzies Hotel Sydney), Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World, Sydney Jet Cruiser, Taronga Zoo, Magistic Cruises, Sydney Pass, Priscilla – Queen of the Desert stage show and Sunbus airport transfers.

“Autumn is the perfect time of year to visit Sydney with a range of over 80 events, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show. With this event and a plethora of exciting attractions, we’ll be showing viewers why there’s no place in the world like Sydney,” says Ms Strange.

The promotion screens on Good Morning every week day between February 12 and 23.
