Linda Olsson in the library
In this month’s Glengarry Writers in the Library series, you are invited to hear best-selling author Linda Olsson at the Central City Library on Wednesday 28 February.
Olsson will be talking about her first novel Let me sing you gentle songs published by Penguin in 2005 to critical acclaim. The book explores the relationship between two women – one young, one old – who are drawn together in an unusual and tender friendship that explores dark family secrets and private tragedy.
Olsson is a graduate from Witi Ihimaera’s Creative Writing course from the University of Auckland.
Let me sing you gentle songs is a New Zealand nomination for the 2007 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
The Glengarry Writers in the Library monthly series is presented in association with Whitcoulls.
