Seb Parr to contest Spreydon/Heathcote Ward
Seb Parr Campaign
Former Christchurch mayoralty candidate Seb
Parr has formally announced his candidacy for the
Spreydon/Heathcote Community Board, one of the six
Christchurch wards to be contested in the local body
elections later this year.
Parr is running on a platform of both proactive community improvement and a commitment to limited government. Parr’s campaign website, www.sebparr.com, states that he believes a politician to be the “servant of the ratepayer” and that he will fight against bureaucracy and support moves to lower rates and other burdens on ratepayers.
Parr also states a commitment to a more proactive, dynamic approach to community issues, and believes that Spreydon/Heathcote can take its place as “one of the most desirable areas in the city of Christchurch”.
The Christchurch local body elections take place via postal vote over September/October 2007.
