Free Ranger Walk and Talk tours
Manukau City Council Parks is offering residents the chance to explore some of the city’s most beautiful landscapes with free Ranger Walk and Talk tours.
During the tours of the Clevedon Scenic Reserve, Hampton Park, Mangere Mountain, Otuataua Stonefields Historic Reserve and the Mangemangeroa Reserve, walkers will learn about the native plants, birds and insects in the reserve as well as the area’s heritage.
Parks Ranger Education Anna Baine says, “This is a wonderful way for people to learn about Manukau’s cultural heritage, while increasing their understanding of ecosystems and developing an awareness of the environmental issues facing these areas”.
