Children’s Festival Rocks the City with help of Creature Design
Central Wellington is bursting with life and creativity as thousands of children flock to the biennial Capital E National Arts Festival, in part thanks to the enchanting design work of Wellington company Creature Design Limited.
Creature Design has sponsored the Festival, the largest of its kind in New Zealand, by supplying design work for the programme as well as posters, banners and flyers. Established by Janelle Rodrigues and Tim Fraser, Creature Design focuses on developing authentic brands for New Zealand businesses, events, the arts and niche New Zealand products. They have consistently promoted Wellington arts events with cutting edge style and integrity.
“We really enjoy working with Janelle and Tim who share the same objectives as the Festival: that creativity can inspire!” says Capital E Director Stuart Grant, “Creature has shown a commitment to our brand that is impressive and we are grateful for their ongoing support of the Capital E National Arts Festival. Throughout the years, their design work on our newsletters and other promotional material has also helped position Capital E as a consistent provider of fun and inspirational opportunities for young people.”
The Capital E National Arts Festival, continues until March 24 with such hits as Sharon, Keep Ya Hair On from Australia’s Patch Theatre Company, Spinning Mountain, with composition and performance from Gareth Farr, music created on a bicycle in Australian Linsey Pollak’s Cycology, Footnote Dance’s Around the World In Wellington and AkeAke’s Ship Song.
Capital E is managed by the Wellington Museums Trust with major funding from the Wellington City Council.
