Transit advises of SH1 Mount
Victoria Tunnel closure
Transit New Zealand wishes to inform the public that the Mount Victoria Tunnel will be closed for four nights from this Sunday for maintenance.
Transit Highways Superintendent Reuben Pokiha says the tunnel will be closed from Sunday March 25 until Wednesday March 28 between the hours of 10pm and 6am to carry out regular tunnel maintenance work.
A clearly identified diversion route to the eastern surburbs is available through Newtown.
Transit advises the public to consider their route accordingly during this time and apologises for any inconvenience in advance.
