Seeing Stars at Whangateau Holiday Park
Whangateau Holiday Park has been awarded a four-star grading by New Zealand tourism’s official quality agency, Qualmark NZ Limited.
The Qualmark assessment and licensing process is rigorous requiring tourism providers to meet specific standards of cleanliness, safety, security and comfort to meet guest expectations.
The holiday park previously had a 3+ star grading and was ranked ‘very good’, but recent improvements have seen the ranking escalate to ‘excellent’.
Rodney District Council’s Community Wellbeing Manager, Bruce Devonport, says the new grading reflects the hard work and dedication of the park’s managers Stu and Sue New.
“They have continued to make improvements to the holiday park and the four-star grading acknowledges the consistently high quality facilities and service they provide,” says Mr Devonport.
Recent improvements include an upgrade of the amenity block and BBQ area and the addition of a new dining/recreation room.
“We are fortunate to have a quality facility like this to attract visitors to Rodney, and through Qualmark can guarantee their expectations will be met,” says Mr Devonport.
Whangateau Holiday Park offers four cabins and 93 powered sites.
