The first project funding round of the latest Creative Communities Scheme has opened for bids.
The scheme provides funding for arts initiatives planned to take place within North Shore City between now and next April.
Creative New Zealand – the Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa is the government agency responsible for developing the arts sector.
Under a partnership arrangement between Creative New Zealand and local councils, funding is provided on a population basis to support community-based arts projects.
The Creative Communities Scheme has helped many North Shore City groups including the Devonport Folk Music Club, Michael King Writers Centre, Lake House Trust, Depot Artspace and Primal Youth Trust.
