Innovate in Rodney – Win Big
Innovate in Rodney – Win Big
Businessman and
mayoralty candidate Alan Curtis believes Rodney holds a
hotbed of brilliant ideas as to the best future this region
could have.
Now he wants people to share their ideas on how to make this great region even better.
Alan has organised the Innovative Rodney competition with a wealth of great prizes for the top three ideas.
The best ideas will win a night in luxury Leigh Lodge Terra del Mar, Olympic watches and lunch for two with a bottle of wine at Orewa’s Emi Deli café.
“More than anything, I’m really interested in hearing the wisdom, ideas and experience from Rodney people on how to take this region into the best possible future,” says Alan.
“I believe the greatest natural resource we have in Rodney … even more than our beautiful natural environment, is the people who live here.
“Why spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on consultants to tell us how to fix problems we have when we can listen to the people who have a vested interest in our long term future?”
Alan wants to hear from anyone and everyone as to how they think we can improve Rodney.
He’s interested in ideas across all subjects – business, the environment, roading, rates, facilities for the elderly, education, family, health, growth, Council activities, growing local employment, development … even erosion of Orewa beach and the role of mayor.
“How can anyone be a truly inclusive and representative mayor without listening long and hard to the people who really own the region?” asks Alan.
“I urge everyone of any age and any background to send in their best idea on improving and innovating Rodney. In the big picture, these are the ideas I’ll be listening to if I’m voted mayor.”
People can send their ideas to Alan via his website www.alancurtis.co.nz
