Tim Wikiriwhi, the
Libertarian Independent candidate for Hamilton Mayor and
City Council West Ward says he is appalled at the low vote
tallies and that he intends to solicit votes right up to the
final bell. He said because a majority had failed to vote,
it was still possible for him to topple Bob Simcock and
called for Hamiltonians to get off their lazy butts and vote
Wikiriwhi!
Mr Wikiriwhi put up several billboards with
messages designed to stir the public spirit reminding
Hamiltonians that in Iraq they risk being blown to pieces
just to vote. “It is terrible that Kiwis fail to exercise
such an important democratic right” he said.
“Your
Grand Pa fought Hitler so you’d get to vote So Use It!”
On another board he warns constituents that Kyoto tax is
coming and they need to stand up and vote Wikiriwhi so he
can fight Socialist Environmental extremism.
“I will be
stuffing letterboxes, trying to encourage people to vote
until the ballots are closed” he said.
