Enjoy festive Franklin Road on foot
Residents of Ponsonby’s Franklin Road will switch on their Christmas lights on Saturday, 1 December.
The creative Christmas illuminations have become one of the city’s biggest attractions during the festive season, and can cause traffic delays.
People are advised to catch the Link bus, or use nearby car parks and admire the lights on foot to keep traffic flowing in the Ponsonby area.
Drivers who regularly use Ponsonby and Franklin roads at night may wish to use alternative routes during December.
