New Appointment To PTL
Board
New Plymouth businessman Peter Horton has been appointed to the Board of Port Taranaki Limited (PTL).
Mr Horton is an elected member of the Taranaki Regional Council and joins the Council Chairman, David MacLeod, as the local authority’s two representatives on the PTL Board.
The Council is the 100% owner of PTL.
Mr Horton is a former Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in New Plymouth and now runs his own business. He played a key role in the establishment of the Venture Taranaki Trust, and has served as Chairman of it and of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce. He was elected to the Taranaki Regional Council this year.
Mr MacLeod owns one of Taranaki’s largest businesses, Greaves Electrical, and has been an elected member of the Taranaki Regional Council since 2000. He was appointed to the PTL Board in 2001 and became Council Chairman this year.
Other Board members are John Young (Chairman), Craig Norgate, John Auld, David Walter and Neil Leuthart.
