the trains (and buses)
On Sunday 2 March, teddy lovers of all sizes can grab their favourite bear and travel with MAXX to the Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Auckland Domain.
Regular Link bus services will travel via Newmarket and Auckland Hospital every 10 to 15 minutes. A one-way ticket costs $1.60 and can be purchased on the bus.
Regular train services will be operating. Passengers planning to use the train can travel to either Boston Road or Newmarket West (Kingdon Street) on the Western Line, or Newmarket South on the Southern Line. Train passengers can also take a train to Britomart and then catch a Link bus to the Domain.
Normal fares apply for all train services. Families using the train to get to the Teddy Bears’ Picnic can take advantage of the special $20 Family Pass (valid for return travel for one adult and five children, or two adults and four children).
