Continued opposition to tolling
Eden Albert Community Board at tonight's meeting continued its opposition to using tolls to pay for Transit's proposed SH20 Waterview Connection.
"Tolling impacts heavily on the disadvantaged and poorer members of our communities" says Board Chair Christopher Dempsey.
"Everyone needs to use the State Highway system at some point. It is unfair of Transit to impose a toll to use the highway, a toll that will be a barrier to those in our communities that struggle to make ends meet."
