Hidden NZ self-portrait talent in
coastal south Auckland art exhibition by Waiau Pa art
group
The Waiau Pa Art Group, by the coast south west
of Papakura, will be holding their annual winter exhibition
– named What Lies Within – at the Waiau Pa Hall from
July 25 to 27.
The highlight of this year's exhibition will be self-portraits done by each artist in a group of varying styles and media.
Visitors will get the
chance to guess the artist of each self-portrait, with the
winning entry drawn from those who have correctly guessed
each work.
The gala wine and nibbles opening night begins
at 6pm on Friday July 25. Other inspiring artwork for sale
includes landscapes, abstracts, figurative work, and animals
plus with garden art and sculptures.
Some of the proceeds will go to the Waiau Pa School’s fundraising project for computer equipment.
