The Eden Cloak Room Wins 'New Pub of the Year!'

This week Mt Eden's own Eden Cloak Room was proud to claim the 'New Pub of The Year' award at the New Zealand Bar Awards held by the Bartender Magazine.

"We wanted to create a really comfortable warm local pub, where the good people of Mt Eden could come to meet friends and family, and enjoy great wine, great food and great beer." Darren Tolley of the Eden Cloak Room

The Bar Awards are the first awards ceremony dedicated to New Zealand's hospitality and bartending industry and recognizes the hard work of hospitality professionals over the last year.

The glamorous gala dinner event was held on Wednesday at the Hilton Hotel to more than 200 of New Zealand's leading hospitality professionals and industry from around the country.

Darren Tolley from the Eden Cloak Room is excited about the win. "The Eden Cloak Room is really proud to win 'New Pub of the Year' after only one year in operation. This is a credit to the strength of our team, especially to our amazing chef Luca Villari who has worked as senior sous chef at Cin Cin and Dawsons but is now the incredible flavour behind the Eden Cloak Room. We'd like to thank Heineken and lastly a huge thank you to all of our loyal friends and locals who keep us company night after night at the Eden Cloak Room," he says.

Come down and check out the Eden Cloak Room, 1-476 Mount Eden Road.
