SH1 Northern Motorway
The NZ Transport Agency wishes to advise
that, weather permitting, the following closures will take
place on the Northern Motorway (SH1) next week:
Sunday 17
- Thursday 21 August
All motorway lanes southbound
between Northcote Road and Onewa Road will be closed each
night from 10pm until 5am for bridge works.
Northcote Road southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Road southbound on and off-ramps will also be closed.
Detour via Northcote Road and Lake Road to Onewa Road southbound on-ramp.
Sunday 17
August (contingency Monday 18 August)
Onewa Road
northbound on-ramp will be closed each night from 10pm until
5am for lightpole and pull pit installations.
Detour to Northcote Road northbound on-ramp.
Monday 18 August
(contingency Tuesday 19 – Wednesday 20 August)
Esmonde
Road northbound on-ramp and Akoranga Drive will be closed
each night from 9pm until 5am for guardrail
modifications.
Detour via Barrys Point Road and Taharoto Road to Northcote Road northbound on-ramp.
If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.
Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.
The NZ Transport Agency regrets any inconvenience caused.
