SH1 Northern Motorway
The NZ
Transport Agency wishes to advise that, weather permitting,
the following closures will take place on the Northern
Motorway (SH1):
WEEKEND CLOSURE
10pm Friday 12
September – 5am Monday 15 September (contingency Friday 19
September - Monday 22 September)
Onewa Road northbound
and southbound on-ramps closed for pavement works.
Sylvan Ave from Tarahanga Street to Onewa Road and Onewa Road from Bruce Street to the motorway will also be closed.
Detours via Sylvan Avenue or Lake Road to Northcote Road Interchange ramps.
Monday 15 - Thursday 18
September
All motorway lanes southbound between
Northcote Road and Onewa Road closed from 10pm until 5am for
bridge works.
Northcote Road southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Road southbound off and on-ramps will also be closed from 9.30pm.
Detour via Northcote Road, Lake Road and Onewa Road southbound on ramp.
Monday 15 – Thursday 18
September
Onewa Road southbound on-ramp closed from 9pm
until 5am for pavement works.
Detour via Northcote Road southbound on-ramp.
This is a contingency closure and will only take place if unforeseen circumstances delay earlier scheduled work.
If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.
Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.
The NZ Transport Agency regrets any inconvenience caused.
