Announced
Ryan Ward and Meegan Cloughley were today
provisionally re-elected Co-Presidents of OPSA for 2009, and
Thomas Bloxham as Vice-President 2009.
Ryan is a Human Resource Management student, who is currently Co-president this year. Ryan is the first co-president to come from the Hospitality department. Ryan plans to focus on fighting for barrier-free education, student welfare and support, and social events, and continue the work done this year.
Meegan is a graduate in Social Services student, who is also Co-president this year. Meegan is looking forward to the challenge of using her administration and advocacy skills to benefit students, and continue the work done on student welfare this year.
Thomas is a Design student who hopes to redesign the role of president, and is a Pokemon trading card game fan.
No elections complaints have been lodged and the results will be final upon ratification of the election at the tonight’s Executive meeting.
