SH20 northbound to
close overnight 19 October
The NZ Transport Agency advises that the Southwestern Motorway (SH20) heading towards Auckland City will be closed overnight on Sunday 19 October between Neilson Street off-ramp and Queenstown Road for lane marking.
The closure will start at 9pm and finish at 5am and both northbound lanes will be closed. The southbound lanes will remain open throughout. The work is part of construction of a duplicate bridge across the Manukau Harbour on SH20.
Motorists can exit SH20 at the Neilson Street northbound off-ramp and follow signposted detours via Onehunga Mall, Mt Smart Road and Hillsborough Road to Queenstown Road.
If work is delayed by bad weather it will be completed on or before Wednesday 22 October.
The NZTA thanks you for your co-operation during these essential improvements. For more information please visit www.nzta.govt.nz/mhc or call 0800 7420 649.
