Colouring competition winners get best seats in the house
The annual Barfoot & Thompson colouring competition received hundreds of colourful, creative entries this year. Now, the two winners are preparing themselves for the best seats in the (Gingerbread) House at the upcoming Auckland Santa Parade.
Eva Williams (7) of Sandringham and Autahi Tihore (8) of Manurewa will both get to dress up in theme and ride on Barfoot & Thompson’s Gingerbread House float on Sunday 30 November. The float will be accompanied by 20 Barfoot & Thompson staff dressed as blue, red and yellow ‘houses.’
The 18 runners up in the colouring competition (nine boys and nine girls) each receive a book token and many of their entries will be displayed at Barfoot & Thompson branch offices around Auckland.
This is the sixth year Barfoot & Thompson has supported Auckland’s annual Farmers Santa Parade – and this year is particularly significant because it’s the 75th anniversary of the parade.
