‘Light Up Hospice’ sparkles on December 7

On December 7, Hospice West Auckland will sparkle with lights and stars.

The community of West Auckland is warmly invited to Hospice House 7.30 - 9.30pm to join in festivities which include The Trusts Waitakere Brass playing jazz, face painting and a visit by Santa for the young, a sausage sizzle, Christmas carols, and time to light a candle and remember a loved one.

Service groups and local businesses will be decorating 16 Christmas trees on the balcony of Hospice House. After dark, a switch will be flicked lighting up Hospice House and its Christmas trees.

‘Light Up Hospice’ will be both a night of remembrance and the official launch of the Christmas Remembrance Trees around public sites in West Auckland.

From December 8-24 Christmas shoppers can visit one of our remembrance trees at Lynnmall, Westcity, Lincoln Rd Warehouse, Westgate, Kelston Shopping Centre, Te Atatu Peninsula, Helensville, four RSAs, Titirangi and Coatesville Markets.

People can write a message to a loved one on a gold or silver star, hang it on a tree and make a donation to West Auckland Hospice.

‘Outrageous Fortune’ has once again donated the fantastic prize of meeting the cast, touring the set and being an extra next season. Donations of over $10 will go in the draw to win this super Westie prize.
