All change at Petone Station Park ‘n’ Ride signals progress on SH2 Project
Impending changes at the Petone Station Park ‘n’ Ride car park signal that the SH2 Dowse to Petone Upgrade Project (D2P) continues to make excellent progress.
NZ Transport Agency Regional Manager Graham Taylor says that the entrance to the car park temporarily moves further north next week.
“This is the first of several changes in the area that will happen during the next few months while we build the new car park and slip road.”
Greater Wellington Regional Council’s public transport divisional manager, Wayne Hastie, says signs will show people where to go at each stage of the changes and parking areas will be clearly marked.
“Although the access to the car park and the allocated parking areas will change a few times, the number of car parks will be maintained during the work.”
Mr Taylor says that the scheduled changes show that the project is making great progress.
“I am pleased to report that despite the bad run of weather during winter, the D2P project continues on programme and budget,” he says.
