Overnight motorway closures
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements and maintenance. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed on or before the contingency date.
NORTHERN MOTORWAY
(SH1)
· Northbound motorway lanes between Onewa Road off-ramp and Onewa Road on-ramp 30 November – 2 December

· Southbound motorway lanes
between Upper Harbour Highway off-ramp and Tristram Avenue
on-ramp 1 December
· Northbound motorway lanes between Esmonde Road off-ramp and Northcote Road on-ramp 2 December
Contingency: 24 December
AUCKLAND HARBOUR BRIDGE (SH1)
· Curran Street on-ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge lanes one and two northbound 30 November – 2 December (approx. 7pm – 5.30am)
SOUTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)
· Southbound motorway lanes between Cook Street off-ramp and Hobson Street on-ramp 1 – 2 December
· Takanini northbound on and off-ramp 30 November – 2 December (10pm – 5.30am)
Contingency: 7 December
CENTRAL MOTORWAY JUNCTION (SH1)
· SH16 to SH1 northbound link 30 November
· SH16 to Nelson Street link 30 November
· Port to SH1 link northbound 2 December
NORTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH16)
· Te Atatu Road eastbound on-ramp 30 November
· Eastbound motorway lanes between Te Atatu Road off-ramp and Rosebank Road on-ramp 1 – 2 December
Contingency: 24 December
STATE
HIGHWAY 16 AND 18
· All lanes between Royal Road, Oreil Avenue and Don Buck Road 30 November – 2 December
Contingency: 18 December
SOUTHWESTERN
MOTORWAY (SH20)
· Rimu Road northbound on-ramp 30 November – 2 December
Contingency: 3 December
